Is Laser Coolsculpting Really Worth the Hype?

Do you have stubborn fat in certain areas of your body that just won’t respond to radical dietary changes or exercise? You will be excited to learn about coolsculpting—a popular technology that uses laser energy to attack these stubborn pockets of fat. Laser coolsculpting is a great way to reshape your body through the reduction of your abdomen, thighs, abdomen, and upper arms.

There is so much talk surrounding coolsculpting in today’s world. As a non-invasive treatment, many people gravitate towards it, especially women. It is a relatively safe procedure albeit it is associated with some minor side effects. So, is laser coolsculpting effective? Is it really as effective as the hype points?

A High Success Rate

There’s no denying the fact that laser coolsculpting works. Many past patients have reported its effectiveness in attacking unwanted fat from the body. Compared to surgical procedures such as liposuction, its side effects are considerably fewer.

However, coolsculpting is not a miracle cure for all. If you have too much fat, it might not work for you. It is best for elimination as much fat as you can punch. Its success is also pegged on lifestyle and a number of other factors.

Is It a Permanent Weight Loss Method?

Yes and no. Coolscupting can be a permanent reduction technology if you intentionally control your weight through nutrition and exercise. Once you fall off the wagon and binge on unhealthy food, the weight will surely come back. Where do you expect the fat to settle anyway? You can pay a fortune and go four cycles but if your eating habits are still wanting, you’ll be winging your weight loss efforts greatly. If you want lasting improvements on your body, combine healthy eating and regular exercise.

What about research?

Research generally agrees that laser coolsculpting is indeed an effective way of killing unwanted fat in some areas. Astudy done in 2015 which analyzed 19 previous studies on the technology found that people lost an average of 14.67 – 28.5% of fat through coolsculpting. The authors of the research also found that the cosmetic procedure didn’t pose major risks to the body. There was zero reduction in the function of the liver or lipid levels meaning laser coolsculpting is simply a cosmetic procedure and nothing more.

Another 2015 study reviewed 16 more studies and came up with the same results. In this specific one, there was a 19.55% average fat reduction.

Bottom-line

Both studies and past treatments show that laser coolsculpting does indeed work as a fat reduction procedure. It is safe and permanent if done right. However, it is not a treatment for obesity but rather a method of removing small pockets of fat that won’t budge through other weight loss strategies such as exercise and diet. With an experienced doctor, adequate planning and several sessions, you can maximize fat loss results and reduce the risk of side effects. Last but not least, although laser coolsculpting works, you have to combine diet and exercise to see permanent results.
